Strip-free so less mess

Our office had formerly used an envelope that required pulling a strip off the gummed seal. This design is strip-free thus less mess. That does NOT mean it is more secure. Both designs were vulnerable for popping open in the mail. Thus for either a bit of tape assures confidence in the security of the envelope when sending sensitive materials in the mail such as checks or secure documents. To make life easier we have placed a Scotch pop-up tape dispenser on the postal desk - voila - customized posting ease with less overall mess.
This is a secure product for items are not shown inside. I can run through my printer even though gummed side (due to the design) and still seal the product securely.
I have celiac disease and can't lick envelopes because most gummed envelopes contain gluten. Using a glue dobber or glue stick is a pain and adds time to my tasks time I don't have to spare. Using the self-sealing envelopes makes things quick and easy and I don't have to worry about getting gluten poisoning. Anything that improves efficiency--and my health--is a good thing.
The product was a great time saver with a mass mail out. I would reccomend using them just keep in mind to budget a few extra dollaars for the product.
What I like: that they are easy to use. You tear off the strip and seal the envelope. What I DON'T like: they do not always stay shut. Every time I do a 500 piece mailing several come back from the Post Office empty which means that they opened up en route. Now I always look over ALL of the sealed envelopes in a mailing and add a piece of tape to many of them. This add significantly to the amount of time needed to process a mailing. I recommend these with qualifications. I wish Staples would improve the product as there aren't many alternatives out there.
