Shifts position with movement of chair and as a result it tends to develop humps/bulges due to stresses on the plastic. Also the mat develops indentations or pockets where the chair weight presses downward under the casters.
Did not live up to standard. Was replacing one that had "ponded" and then broken up thru the years. Found this one that was the same thickness as the one I had for several years. While the thickness was the same this mat has already permanently indented where the chair wheels sit within the first week. Apparently the durability is not as good as the past mat of the same thickness. It sits on carpet that I would consider low to medium pile. Am going to have to consider adding an additional mat on top of this one
I've used this mat for about two weeks now. I have a low pile carpet but decided to step up to the medium based on my time at my desk. Well worth the upgrade but my chair has slid into a "default position" that is slightly left of where I actually want to sit from depressions in the mat. But it's cheap plastic and I can't complain Delivery experience was weird. I ordered the mat at 430pm and at 930am the next day I got a knock on my door and a ring of the doorbell. I sit close to my front door so I was able to see the delivery guy jump over my garden and sprint across my lawn back to his white panel van after throwing the unpackaged mat on my front porch. I shouted a thank you and he replied. Nice guy. Mat wasn't damaged at all in that interaction but it did have a hefty layer of dirt grime and footprints that I had to wipe off inside with some towels on my hands and knees since my hose is off for the winter. Since it wasn't packaged I didn't have to wait for it to uncurl.
Good size mat reasonable price. Using on medium pile carpet still deforms under chair casters. Remains to be seen if that will cause a long-term problem
Instead of rolling it up the mat was folded and packed in a flat box. The crease from the fold is still there after nearly 2 months of pressing it down. The reason I didn't return it is that I needed something and thought that the crease would iron out in time. NOT the case.
This mat can't withstand the weight of an average person as the chair wheels dig into the mat. The mat also slides with the lightest touch. Since it will be used in a home setting I'll live with it.
This item doe not work well on carpet. I have it on a short pile less than 1/2 " and it allows the chair wheels to create dents in the mat making it hard to roll. Not at all impressed.
