The chair mat is installed on my deck where it protects my expensive deck from bird-feed-suet and bird poop. It also shields the deck from heat from our Weber grill. It only took me 20 minutes to cut off the foot-extension. It's working well.

When I received the mat it was rolled up in a makeshift carton. It looked like a giant semi-transparent potato chip. It took a week with weights on it to smooth all the lumps. I'm using it now and it feels like I'm perched on a hill. My chair keeps wanting to roll down hill.
