Not bad overall but...

Maybe my carpet is too plush but it's not high end carpet. My chair leaves impressions in the mat sort of like little pot holes and it's hard to roll out of. annoying if you are trying to just scoot forward a few inches closer to the desk because the chair wants to roll back into the cup it created. The impressions in the mat come back out but it's a little annoying
THIS IS TYPICAL OF THIS PRODUCT MADE BY ROBBINS. MATERIAL IS TOO THIN AND TOO SOFT FOR TODAY'S OFFICE CHAIRS WITH WHEELS. I PLAN ON USING THE OLD CHAIR MAT AND PLACE THE NEW ONE ON TOP FOR BETTER STABILITY LESS CRUSH BY THE WHEELS. A BETTER ALTERNATIVE WOULD BE TO MAKE A CHAIR MAT FROM THE HARDWOOD FLOOR LAMINATES AT THE HOME CENTERS. ONE CAN CUSTOM DESIGN THE SIZE WITH A WOOD COLOR TO MATCH THE OFFICE. VELCRO ON THE BOTTOM WOULD ELIMINATE THE SLIDING. THAT'S MY SOLUTION TO ALL THE CON REPORTS ON THE STAPLES FORUM PAGES....
As a chairmat for chairs it is only usable on commercial grade carpet. Any carpet with high pile will cause the chair to sink into the chairmat. Your home's carpeting most likely will be too thick for even this chairmat and you will get "stuck" on your chairmat from the wheels sinking in to the chairmat. Move up to the next grade chairmat It will be worth it. This chairmat now sits under the cats' litterbox to keep the mess from spreading.
Purchased 6 of these for the office staff after the previous ones began crumbling. I wanted something thicker than the previous and they seem to be working very well.
