We had a previous better quality Staples chair mat and needed a new one so decided to try this less expensive mat. It slides on the plush carpet and even bends up against the computer desk. I would not buy this product again.
The mat is too thin for carpet as the chair sinks down and is impossible to move without getting up. I will have to purchase another better quality one. Even though it was on sale for [$] the regular price was [$] and I thought the construction would be better.
I had this shipped to our office and the Staples shipping label was stuck to the spiked underside of the chair mat. We tried and tried but couldn't remove the entire label. Unfortunately the chair mat is clear and you can see white patches from the label that we couldn't remove.
Mat does what it's supposed to do...protects the floor. I only wish I bought one sooner because my daughter has scratched up my hardwood floors in her room while sitting at her desk. The only issue I do have with the mat is that is does slide pretty easily so I fix it probably everyday.
I am disapointed in staples. I went to your bradenton store and spoke to a very large man about this product versus a higher grade one. He readily admitted he was a very large man and said that this was his choicehad been using it for several years and it had not worn out. I've had it for several weeks and can hardly roll my chair over it.I guess my next choice will be another store. It's not a problem today because I'm in my northern home. But when I come back to Florida I expect it will be junk. Why not just be truthful and say "buy a higher grade one". brian costello [@]
