could be a bit larger but otherwise fine

This is a good very economical chair mat. It is a bit on the small size but otherwise works fine for my home office. Seems to be best suited for smaller spaces and less than heavy duty use which is what I need. I do roll off the mat when pushing back from the desk.

I really don't like this product

Product does not stay in one place atop the carpet and keeps sliding around. Thought the bottom plastic protrusions with the weight of the chair would be enough to keep the flat chair pile carpet chair mat in one place. Maybe the protrusions need to be a little bit longer on the underside. I did not have the same problem with the previous product that I purchased at the same store. Hoping the plastic protrusions on the mat underside did not get smaller since I purchased the last product.

The smooth nub design on the bottom is safer than the pointy nubs but they allow the mat to move around more on carpet requiring frequent repositioning.

Flimsy - no support for regular castors

When the product came rolled up I was fairly sure there would be an issue. After 5 minutes on the chair mat I had to bump the chair out of the sunken castor ruts. Way too thin for carpet applications ie. CHEAP

We ordered 2 which were received unpacked or bound together. One has a wrinkle that has not flattened out up until now. Staples should consider how to improve packaging to ship this item even if we receive free shipping.

Chair mat does the job

We purchased this chair mat to protect a low pile Oriental rug in our home office. The rug was wearing out under our rolling desk chair. The mat seems to be doing the job. It is a sturdy but flexible mat with small "grippers" that keep it in place. The chair rolls easier than on the rug and the clear mat is barely visible. Indentations in the mat (due to the weight on it) were mentioned in a previous review. To be honest we didn't notice indentations until we looked -- and they were very minor.
