"Flat Out" Good Deal!

After a decent amount of research I chose this mat from Staples because it was reasonably priced came without the "tongue" which is the type more commonly desired and was of a decent size that fit my "goldilocks" needs (not too big not too small). It unrolled easily (except for the 3 small gashes on my knee which are healing quite well thank you!) & once I laid it out & put the desk chair & a book/ream of paper on the strategic spots within 2 days it was completely done. I was truly impressed - it usually takes much longer more weight is needed & there is a remaining slight ripple somewhere always!).

This mat still slides around on the carpet ... the nubs on it are much too short to dig into the carpet and keep it in place. I would not recommend it.

Protects the floor. A little weak.

I might have been spoiled with a really high quality chair mat before but this is a bit flimsy. It is protecting the carpet okay. I use it to put underneath my standing desk. My footprints and the wheels of the desk are making strong indents into the pad but the carpet is okay. Reasonable quality for the price.

It's a good chair mat. What more can be said? It is kind of pricey though hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

Perfect for my small desk and room

I used this under a rolling chair in my hobby room. It is smaller scale than some I've looked at and so it fit nicely. It grips the carpet well and stays in place. I had a coupon for 25% off so it was a good bargain for me and my use

Staples Flat pile carpet chair mat

I bought this to replace one that had cracked. It was three years old. This one does not seem as sturdy. Feels so much thinner and is much lighter. I'll see how it holds up.

Too soft

Felt pretty heavy duty in the store. My carpet is only 1/2" thick but mat dimpled where chair sits almost immediately making it very hard to move the chair. Was supposed to be good for carpets up to 1". I only weigh 170 lbs and my chair has 5 rollers. Very disappointed.
