I am pleased with this purchase - it fits our needs; however I did have to place a more stable mat underneath this mat. Our carpet though it is berber was a little too "squishy" for the casters on the desk chair. They were sinking down too far and made it hard to roll on the mat. With a commercial grade of carpet or indoor/outdoor carpet this mat would work perfectly. I think that was mentioned in the description or a review maybe so definitely not the fault of the mat. It fits under my desk very well and looks good.

I bought two of these and Staples shipped them without wrapping so the packaging tape stuck to the plastic. Worse they used a LOT of packaging tape. Leaving canola oil on all night enabled me to get some of the tape residue off but not nearly all. They are still sticky and collect dirt. (Note many solvents that would dissolve the glue residue would also dissolve the plastic).

It's a chair mat and it lays on the floor. It works but the real test will be if it lasts. So far it's made it a week without cracking.
