Chair mat does not work for high pile carpet

This chair mat is supposed to be for a high pile carpet. It does not work because the teeth on the underside of the mat are too short to grip the carpet. With a desk chair on top of the mat the mat slides away from the desk which in turn is wearing on the carpet. The mat was also supposed to be rigid to support the desk chair--it isn't. With little use the mat has indentations from the chair's wheels. This means you have to exert an effort to move the chair out of the rut. We had the chair mat delivered to our home. It came unboxed and unwrapped. UPS did a good job of scratching it and curling it. We are 100% displeased with this product and regret purchasing it sight unseen.

I have purchased this mat twice. In each case they lasted only about two years before they cracked to the point that they had to be replaced. I looked into past reviews and read that to use the "lifetime warrantee" you must deal not with Staples but the manufacturer and that is a tremendous hassle. It is difficult to find the size-36x48 elsewhere or I would not have purchased the item again.

This chair mat is mediocre. As soon as I sat in my chair it immediately left deep indentions. I know that will happen over time but this happened the first time I used it.

This heavy-duty clear-plastic mat is perfect for my use. I have very good quality carpet and padding so I needed a mat beneath my roller executive chair (even though I'm not an executive!). I am very pleased with this one. Thank you.

I use my spare bedroom as an office and it is carpeted. I use my office a lot therefore my chair is always rolling. This mat is perfect..fits perfectly in the space and allows me to roll easily ..saving my carpet.....at a great price.
