My mat chair mat is perfect for my situation. Large enough and works on my low pile carpet just fine. After a week and a half it is holding up as expected. Hoping to get years of use.
The see-through quality is nice because you can see the carpet color through it and it stays in place well. However on a very low-pile commercial carpet on concrete my chair wheels indent it and make it a little difficult to roll around although it seems so far that the dents are temporary. If you weighed over 200 lbs.???
Heavy duty chair mat that stays put. I have it half on carpet and half on hardwood and it does not move. Great product seems very well made. It is 85% transparent. Great product and worth the money. My last cheap chair mat did $500 damage to my floor.
I wouldn't recommend it. As you can see from the attached 2 photos the chair sinks into it and then it is hard to roll it around. Very thin material and not very strong. Needs to be a thicker material.
I needed a replacement chair mat that would work for a 6 foot "church" table since I move back and forth along the length of the table using different keyboards during the work day. This fit the bill wonderfully. It *IS* a little thin for medium or deeper shag carpet and deforms under the chair wheels after a short time such that I have to wiggle to get the chair to move out of the wheel pits but for the size price and AVAILABILITY I'm ok with it. If it was really an issue I would have dropped some much larger dollars on a tempered glass mat - it's not THAT big an issue. :-)
The mat was thinner and not as large as the previous one we had. It is o.k. but not great. We had thought of returning it and looking elsewhere however after we took the two scotch tapes that kept it in a cylinder we didn't. The residue from the scotch tape was so sticky we had to WORK to remove it with mineral spirits. Disappointing item.
