It is much heavier than the previous one that broke up because my carpet was more than 1/4". Unfortunately the store I bought that one from did not identify the the carpet thickness so it failed. I have high hopes this one lasts a lot longer.

Described for carpet. Mat is too thin/soft. Got indentations in it immediately which makes chair difficult to move. Not recommend at least not for carpet.
