The chair mat is a replacement. The problem is that as it ages it cracks and big chunks break off from the middle of the mat where the chair wheels over it. Then I have to buy a new one. This takes about 2 years.

Every couple of years I need to replace my chair mat under my desk chair due to the constant use and work at home arrangement I have with my employer. Staples is the place I shop to order my mats. Delivery was quick (overnight!) and ordering online was easy. In fact I ordered two so that I would have one for my husband's office as well! Both mats are sturdy and will endure lots of wear. In 5 years I have only replaced my mat once. I gave it 4 stars only because the "spikes" on the mat could be a little longer to grip the carpet. But frankly I have been using this new one since Christmas and it works great!

The wheels of my chair pushed through this creating indentions. Took an hour to remove the sticker.

A Perfect Solution!

This is a great mat to use over low pile carpet ... desk chair slides much easier over the smooth surface. I had tried the standard mat size in the past but it was not large enough to cover all the foot space under my desk. The 48" x 60" is the perfect fit. Would recommend that you have it delivered vs. pick-up in the store.

Not what it is cracked up to be!

Supposed to be for high pile. Mine is 3/4 inch. This was an expensive item and now has MANY cracks in it! VERY disappointed.

Good mat for the price. Does not last forever but for the price works well. Will need to replace in 4 years. Very satisfied with that considering price.
