The item won't stay put. It needs some one sided tape or something. It slides around on the floor.

wood look floor mat

We have very nice hard wood floors through out our home. I have a rolling secretarial chair in my office. I really did not want the traditional clear plastic chair mat to go underneath the chair. Out of all my searching staples was the only place witha wood look mat. I also liked the bamboo mats but they are a bit pricy for me. The vinyl wood look was in my price range and is the perfect length when rolling back from my hutch. The only complaint i have is that i did not have the option to have a lip on the mat to slide underneath my computer hutch. Overall i am very pleased with the purchase.

Great quality

This is our 2nd purchase on this type of mat and we currently use it on carpet even though it should be on a solid floor. Even though it slightly dents from the rollers it has not "cracked" like the other plastic mats. It is just big enough for a small work area and even rolls up better for transport. It fits nicely flat in a car as well. I recommend flat over rolling for any type of mat as it does take awhile to flatten out any kinks. I highly recommend this product for any desk area use at work and even at home.

Like some folks complained about there's no wood in it but plastic which makes it much more durable. It looks ok lays flat stays put. I'm a satisfied customer.

I use it on a wooded floor with a 5 wheel office chair. It moves easier on the chaior mat than it did on the floor with its narrow boards.

Just Right

We just removed carpet from my office at home and put in bamboo flooring to match our home. I found this mat here at Staples online and liked the price but had my doubts. I have had it now for 3 weeks and I am at my desk nearly every day and zero complaints. It actually flattened itself out the first day and I didn't need to put anything under it to secure it. I am a bigger guy and the chair has not left any marks on the mat and doesn't roll off it. Very satisfied with the color too.

Love the look

I really love the look of this chair mat. The mat is made very well it is not thin and cheap like some of the chair mats some places sell. It is a nice size I can roll my chair from desk to cabinet and not leave the mat. The color is just great it looks a lot like a hardwood floor. The only problem I have with this mat is that it slides a lot on hardwood floors. You have to be able to put it under your desk or cabinet so it will not move. I would get some of that nonslip backing. If not be careful. But It is still a great mat and I would buy another.

I selected this item for under an older solid wood desk in my bedroom .. Small space. On brand new carpeting. Without a doubt an office chair on wheels would destroy the carpet.I've only had the mat down for a few weeks therefore I really can't commit on durability on carpet. I suspect the mat would be best suited for hardwood floors as designed. For now it fulfills my need and time will tell. The weight of the desk keeps the mat in place.
