Floor Mat

I purchased one of the Staples Leminate Chair Mat for hard wood floors in cherry and am totally pleased with it. My office is in a older school buidling and when the renovation was done they painted part of the hard wood floor to "add character" to the room. My chair sits exactly on the area where the paint meets the hard wood that only has polyurethane on it. The wheels on the chair had rubbed the floor so that the paint was chipped and peeling and the floor looked terrible. The maintenance man for the building came and repaired the floor while I was on vacation and I did not want to ruin it again. So i found the floor mat and it is the exact same color as the paint on my office floor. Now I can move the chair and not worry about ruining the floor in the old restored building and the mat fits in and doesn't stand out or look bad. We had to put in another desk and that chair sat on the same area plus had a cable on the floor. So I went and bought another mat for that area. It works great to cover the floor and the cable. Perfect solution for both problems.

Functional but not sure how well it will hold up

First off the color isn't Cherry. The way it shows up in the picture online is much closer to its true color; much less red than Cherry. That's OK for me as I wanted more brown less red and it matches my hardwood floor really well. The rest of the description is somewhat misleading as well. It should be described as a 1/8" Vinyl sheet that's printed to look like wood. So far it's functioned perfectly but I have no idea how durable it will be in the long term. Also one other thing to note is the direction of the grain of the simulated wood. The grain runs perpendicular to the long side of the mat. Take a look at your floor to be sure you'll be satisfied with the direction you'll have to place the mat if you want it to match the direction of the grain in your floor.

Looks great but not for thick carpet.

Great item but not made for thick carpeted rooms due to the thinness of the material. Other than that its great.

The only thing I have to say is it will slide. I have it on carpet and have had to put it back in place twice now. Nothing I can't handle but something you may want to know.

THE MAT LAYS FLAT. IT IS EASY TO ROLL OVER IN MY CHAIR. THE COLOR MATCHES THE HARDWOOD FLOORS GOOD. THE PRICE WAS RIGHT AND I GET REWARDS FOR BUYING IT.
