Sturdy & Right Size

My old mat had cracked and it had little dents from the rollers on my office chair. I didn't realize how bad mine was until I got this mat! It is strong and sturdy and the chair rollers have not dented it! It is SUCH a pleasure to be able to roll my chair without getting hung up in dents! I'm very glad I purchased this mat!

delivered unrolled so did not have the issue of curling like some other reviewers. One corner was curled up more than the others but it's very flexible so was able to flatten it out. Would like to have seen color options other than cherry but it looks fine and does the job at an attractive price.

Wood Veneer Style Chair Mat for Hard Floors

I wanted a wood looking mat for under my desk chair that didn't cost a fortune. This one was well priced but I failed to note it was intended for use on hard floors. My floor is plush carpeting. I am keeping it anyway since it makes my desk chair roll easier and I am not a heavy person. Don't know how long it will last. Would not advise it for someone who weighs more than 130lbs and is trying to use the mat on a carpeted floor. Too bad the other wood looking mats were sooooo expensive.

We recently had hardwood floors installed in our study. We wanted to protect the floors from the casters on the chair. We pleased with this purchase. The mat seems to be sturdy and good quality.

Mats were bought to prevent gouges in the floor by my kitchen chairs. They work great. They are very slippery if you walk on them.

I Googled "Wood chair mats." And among several hits that came up one came up from Staples for a Staples® 36 x 48 Wood Veneer Style Chair Mat for Hard Floors Cherry. After carefully reviewing the detailed description of this product I purchased it. I went to the store and picked it up and when I opened the box at home I discovered that the mat WASN'T made out of wood or wood veneer at all it was no more than a common plastic chair mat that was molded to look like it was cherry wood veneer. AT NO POINT DOES THE SHORT OR LONG DESCRIPTION OF THIS MAT INDICATE THAT IT IS ACTUALLY MADE OF PLASTIC AND MOLDED TO HAVE THE APPEARANCE OF WOOD. If it did I wouldn't have purchased it. Buyer beware. Apparently Staples has an issue with omitting critical information when it comes to accurately describing their products online.
