I actually needed one a little shorter than 48 in but I am making it work. Definitely cannot use it over area rug but it is protecting my laminate floor nicely. I like the black color and matte finish.

This floor mat works well for us. However when it was delivered (in the brutal cold) it was folded up. It took over 24 hours but it did flatten out. I honestly thought I would have to return it!
