This mat is very thin and would only work on hard surfaces to prevent scraches on floor. I tried to use it over carpet and the wheels on my office chair made indentions in the mat and went thru to carpet.

Thought for the few hours I sat in my chair this mat would work. My desk is on low pile carpet but the mat still gets grooves making it hard to roll the chair. Will use it till it's not use able then get the correct one for the carpet!

This mat is a replacement for the same mat that lasted 15 years. It has a 1 year warranty. Definitely got my money's worth from it & hope to do so with the new mat. Extra bonus it was on sale for $10 less than the previous store price plus I had a $10 off for $20+ purchase.
