Still not thick enough

Good sized mat and poly material seems as advertised however chair castors deform even this thicker design so are not free rolling. No matt cracking evident yet after four weeks.

Shipping can be improved

Very disappointed tape used for shipping. Mat was rolled up for shipping but it was taped with a nasty economy packing tape that shreds when you try to remove it. Took over 20 minutes to remove all the tape and residue from the mat. Last time I had one shipped it was wrapped in shrink wrap plastic taping making it easy to open and not leave any leftover tape and residue. Although mat is for high pile carpet it still dents when sitting in chair all day and the chair sticks in the ruts.

Not for high pile carpet

The add was misleading. First it was not thick enough for high pile carpet.My chair made dents right away that where hard to get out of after just 1 hour. Second the points on the bottom are not long enough. I have to preposition it at least 3 times a day. This mat at best for low profile carpet.

stinky chair mat

I received the chair mat several weeks ago. It is very smelly with a plastic smell and the headache I received was almost immediate. I have it in the garage hoping I'll be able to use it soon. Probably better if you are sensitive to buy one from a store that has had them hanging on the rack and therefore the smell has dissipated. Previous to this I have been please with Staples chair mats. Hopefully SOON I will be pleased with this one. The reason for purchasing it and having it delivered to the house was because my store did not carry the biggest size which is what I need this time. In general I am very pleased with Staples and this is a rare complain but I can't work with such a headache.

Not as advertised

The chair mat arrived rolled up and taped with cellophane tape. The chair mat flattened very quickly probably because it is so thin but it took me an hour to remove the sticky tape. The chair mat immediately developed deep indentations over-night under the wheels of my office chair without me sitting in the chair. (FYI: My office chair is not heavy and neither am I and my carpet is less than 3/4 inch thick.) Sitting at my desk all day the deep indentations makes it very difficult to move my chair out of the indentations. This "extra-high pile carpet" chair mat is worse than the cheaper chair mats I've had in the past. It certainly is not worth the cost.

Disappointed

I have a home office with thick carpet. I bought this because other pads would not hold up with the thick carpet. This pad is not stiff enough to work with thick carpet. The wheels of my chair create depressions in the pad and then the chair does not want to roll to other locations when I need to move. I would recommend that you keep looking for a sturdier pad.

I have had 3 chair mats in the last 6 months. All had a sliding problem. This is not too bad. It seems to be holding the carpet much better than others.

Heavier weight carpet chair mat

Just what we needed-the heavier weight thicker mat does not get divots in it from the wheels on the chairs and should last a long time. Very pleased.
