Too soft

The mat is too soft for carpets even though it's supposed to be for high pile carpets. Even empty a chair will form divots in the soft plastic that are difficult to roll out of.

Ordered a high/thick pile carpet chair mat and when I went to pick it up it was a flimsy mat less than 1/10" thick and not appropriate for high pile carpet. The good news is they immediately processed a refund as I would not accept the item.

Carpet chair mat

There are several things I like about this chair mat. One is the size which is very adequate and it doesn't move on my floor. I am overweight and the mat is like many others in that when my chair sits in one place for a while the rollers on my chair have depressions that I have to move the chair up and out of. I fear that this chair mat will be like all the others I have ever used and develop 'spider web' cracks all over where the chair sits most often and will need to be replaced. I will see! If it does this product does have a guarantee. which I will use. This chair mat cost enough so I hope Staples honor's this guarantee.

Works very well on my plush rug. It replaces an older one that crumbled up after 2 years. This new one should last longer judging by its greater thickness from the last one.
