This mat does the job for the money. It is a little thin so I do not know what the longevity of it will be. My chair leave indentations in it. It is true you get what you pay for.

This mat protects the carpet and makes it easier to roll when seated. After sitting for a while it dimples under the castors and would be better if it were stiffer. That being said it is significantly better than nothing but carpet.

This is too soft with too much give on any type of carpet. The chair wheels dig in and don't roll smoothly.

It started cracking after 7 years a time frame I'm definitely not complaining about. I'm on a low-pile carpet and yes there are some divots that form but it's not hard to roll out of them. Purchasing a new one now!

Ideally a thicker pad would be better The carpet and pad are at least 1/2 inch thick but so far this pad is working. The question is how long will it last?
