This particular chair mat is really only good for light duty. I do know weigh very much I have an office chair on rollers; and the rollers mold themselves into the plastic mat. Not easy to move around once I sit. And the carpet that is under the mat is heavy duty indoor/door (not plush at all).

Sits on the floor where I put it. Lies flat. Doesn't move. Protects the hardwood. It's everything I wanted it to be. If you want a chair mat that will do all the things a reasonable person expects a chair mat to do then this chair mat is an excellent choice.

Inexpensive but tough to roll out even after letting it rest for days after delivery

This is an inexpensive mat. It has a lip and tiny spikes for carpet. It comes rolled up in a box. Directions say to let it be inside and warm up to room temp for a few days. I did that. Even after that it was somewhat difficult to unroll it and lay it flat. It still has some memory where it's not completely flat.

the mat is light weight and barely holds the wheels of the chair from indenting in the mat. If this mat is used to protect the carpet it should do that; if it is used to facilitate the wheels of the chair rolling on the carpet - not really.
