The mat was delivered flat and ready to use after removing the sticky labels. However it is thinner than I anticipated and the chair leaves 'ruts' in the places where the wheels generally rest. It should be 50% thicker.

I have only had this for a couple of weeks but it's serving its purpose so far. I am happy with it. Note that it says it's for low pile carpet which I have but the spikes are still not long enough for my carpet and it slides around a bit. To solve this I just slid a small portion of it underneath my desk leg since it's already under the desk anyway. Other than it it's doing what I need. I would recommend.

The chair mat arrived ready assembled and in excellent condition from shipping. I just removed the label and placed it in our home office. I ended up getting another chair mat for my craft room since I was so pleased with the first one. The second one I picked up at our local Staples store and it came with carrying handles on two sides of the mat so I was able to easily carry it by myself and fold it up a little to transport in the back seat of my car. Both chair mats work well on the two different carpet types we have in these two different areas of our home.

This seems small to me.Very flexible but I am concerned about putting dents in it once they use it with the chair. I’m actually sending this back and getting a bigger one and a little bit heavier.

I purchased this more expensive chair mat ~18mos ago hoping it would last longer than the cheap one but it started getting grooves & cracks fairly soon. My carpeting is not that thick but I still have to replace the mat much sooner than expected so I'll go back to the cheaper one. It's not worth the extra $$$ (+I cut my foot on one of the cracks!)
