high pile carpet chair mat

the mat came wrapped with the stickiest tape imaginable. I could not remove the residual glue from the tape even using paint thinner. the mat still allows the chair rollers to imbed into the mat. Not really happy with my purchase.

Definitely far more sturdy on the carpet it's being used on. Pretty think material. Does slide a little from time to time. Used 5 days a week 40 hours.

No More Divots

After reading other reviews I was a little concerned about ordering this product BUT I have been using it for a little over a week now and I think it is absolutely great. I needed to replace an old mat that my chair wheels kept making little divots in. I couldn't roll the chair easily. This mat has totally solved that problem! No more divots. My chair rolls easily even after not moving it around for long periods of time. I have about 1" thick carpet/pad and every other mat I have tried has sunk into the carpet. This mat is thick enough that it doesn't sink. Some of the other reviews have said they had problems getting the mat to stay in place. I don't seem to have that problem. The grips on the bottom stuck to the carpet nicely and the mat has not moved from where I put it down. One note of caution though...This is a thick mat. Make sure you order a size that you will not have to "trim".

Almost the best solution

Each four or five years it's floor pad replacement time as the old one invariably cracks and becomes more difficult to roll a chair over. This is thicker than the one replaced (which had deeper pins into the carpet than this). The carpet "pins on this" are like 1/8" slots positioned 90' from each other throughout the bottom of the unit. After 10 days I noticed that the mat had walked about 4" from where it was placed something the last one never did. So thicker easy to use but every 10 days of so I reposition it where it was originally placed. A minor inconvenience but one to note for mid-pile carpet use.

Recreational home use. Slight movement over a weeks time. Indents somewhat but does not affect ease of chair movement. Excellent value and very satisfied thus far.
