The chair mat for a carpeted surface looks great but the wheels of my office chair sink into it making initial movement difficult (and annoying). The mat I replaced did not have this problem and yes the carpet is the same.

The Staples carpet chair mat crystal clear 45x53 is the chair mat I buy for all our employees. The mat lasts a few years before it starts to chip in places from wear and tear. It's inexpensive so it isn't a big deal to replace every few years.

It would be nice if Quill would not put a huge sticker directly on the mat that is impossible to remove. Also should be delivered in a box or at the very least wrapped in cardboard. Not just a mat and big fat un-removable sticker!

You really need a mors substantial mat unless the weight of chair and person is on the low side.
