The mat is too soft for plush carpet. The chair leaves ruts in the mat and the chair gets stuck in the rut.

This mat is just to supple and dimples with any chair pressure. This one might work for an industrial carpet firmness. I needed a more hard plastic mat for my carpet area. I just ordered the wrong mat for my needs. Staples was wonderful about the return and credit. I ordered a harder mat and should get that one in a couple of days. Thanks for your ongoing service and products!

The mat is about the same thickness as what I previously had. It tends to indent as I roll across it. I will have to remember to order a thicker mat next time. My last mat eventually cracked and I will be throwing it out. I don't expect much from the new one this review is on. My carpet is a short pile carpet.
