Spend the extra money to get the stiffer mat. Don't know why these thin ones are even sold.

this is a low grade carpet mat for a computer chair. it is clear and unattractive but does the job . it is thick enough and does not move.

This mat is very nice for hardwood floors. It doesn't slide at all and has a low profile so your not tripping over it. It's not pretty to look at but hey its a mat.
