It does say low pile without padding and because of the great price I tried it on a padded carpet and it is correct that it will not work for that application.The wheels sink into it so don't try it because it will not work well.

I use it for a Home Office. It has to be replaced every year because it cracks after 6 months and becomes useless after 12 months.
