Mixed review for self-sealing envelopes

Found this self-sealing envelope to be more awkward than one where you strip off a backing. Took extra time to put letter in envelope because of the nature of the opening. Also sometimes added tape because I felt the seal wasn't as secure as it should be.

The draw back with the envelopes is that the seal doesn't cover the entire flap leaving the ends open to peel back. Worse yet to be tore by the mail processing machines

Excellent product for our needs

We needed new envelopes & these were exactly what I had been looking for. They are so easy to seal they don't get caught in my printer nor do I have to pry them apart after printing as I had to do with the last envelopes I used. And I no longer have to lick the envelopes to make them seal! Highly recommend!

I was surprised by the mediocre quality of these envelopes. Paper stock much thinner than other similar envelopes I have purchased. Hope they hold up in the mail!

Great for payroll use

Not a huge fan of the design of these envelopes. I purchased them for daily bank deposits. They are self sealing but you have to flip up the flap in the back to expose the glue which the designer made cut the back of the envelope almost half way down. I have purchased this type in the past but the flap was always much higher. Also the line of glue stops more than 3/4 inch from the edges which means that when sealed they still have an inch and a half at the edge from the top down that is not sealed. This would be fine for just a piece of paper but I feel the strength of the envelope is compromised and on those days when I have coins to deposit I have to tape the top edges of the envelope which is incredibly annoying and completely defeats the purpose in buying self sealing envelopes. I will not purchase these again. It would well be worth a couple more dollars for a better design.
