When I purchased these envelopes I thought they were the standars peel and seal type. These envelopes are difficult to stuff and require extra time to fold the top flap down and the bottom flap up and then seal.

There is a 2-flap double adhesive arrangement which eliminates the waxy strip that normally covers the adhesive until removed for sealing. Great idea for being eco-friendly but cannot send these through our copier as the envelopes are creased and bent due to their structure. This would make them useless to run through copiers and perhaps everyday printers as well.

I bought these envelopes online not realizing I wasn't buying "peel off" adhesive envelopes. These "self-adhesive" kind were slightly less expensive than what I'd paid previously for peel-offs but I just figured it was more of a bargain bcs I was buying online. They still weren't what I'd call economical. I planned to send the envelopes through my HP Color LaserJet 3600 so when I saw the seemingly exposed adhesive I was concerned. As it turns out they actually go through my printer much better than the old peel-off kind which tend to wrinkle up across the top. And no problems with the adhesive touching things it shouldn't. As a bonus there's much less waste--no trashcan full of backing strips!

About 200 did not have the ‘sticky’ part and I had to tape shut. Frustrating.

They are much easier than licking or applying moisture to seal.
