Solved my problem to a T.

I needed an envelope that 10x12 papers would fit into. This was perfect even though bigger than I really needed. I just folded it over (contents fit width-wise) sealed it with tape and I had a double protected parcel.

Good for sending 11x17 papers unfolded

I needed to mail some 11x17 papers printed on thicker card stock that would be damaged if folded (this was presentation material). These envelopes were the perfect (and only!) thing I could find in a bunch of stores to ship the papers without folding them.

I am a scrapbooker who sends 12x12 page thru the mail. There are no sturdy (photo) envelopes available in this size so I purchase these and add cardboard for support.

was disconcerted to get to the post office and realize the flap was ot gummed. luckily the postal worker let me use her tape. it does say that on the package but I have never heard of envelopes that needed tape. well not since about 1957. this could have been more prominently displayed on the packaging so I would have bought tape at the store.
