These file jackets with 2" expansion works okay for what we need. I thought they would be a bit more heavy duty but they will work out okay.

Great for organizing documents. Keep important papers together. Ample room. File jacket easily accommodates everything from a few pages to a few hundred pages! As well as file folders (both letter- and legal-sized).

TIRED OF PAPERS FALLING OUT OF FILES?

How many times have you picked up a file to take to a meeting only to have the contents spill all over the floor? Or fall out of the folder in the front seat of your car when you hit the brakes? These files are durable and make it easier to transport files. I've started using them at home for my personal files. A bit pricey but very durable. Non expandable holds about 50-75 sheets and expandable (I prefer 2") hold approx. 150+ NOTE: the letter size aren't quite wide enough and it's difficult getting papers in and out.

Not quite the right size

We ordered the legal sized file jackets for our firms smaller files. They are heavy enough for what we needed and easy to label. However once we started to put manila folders in them to subdivide the paperwork we ran into issues. Even if you line the inner folder up with the creases the file jackets are just a little too small for the legal size manila folders to sit down in them properly. The inner legal sized manila folders (also Staples brand) are either the same size or a touch larger than the file jackets. Therefore they sit in them diagonally and you cannot collapse the file jacket or utilize the tab on the file jacket.
