PERFECT FOR MAILING 5 x 7 PHOTOGRAPHS

I FIND THIS ENVELOPE IS PERFECT FOR FOLDING 8 1/2 x 11 PAGES AS IT MEETS THE POST OFFICE REQUIREMENT TO GO AS A LETTER I.E. FITS THROUGH THE 6 1/8 TH INCH TEMPLATE SLOT AND CAN INSERT MORE PAGES SO IT WILL NOT BE OVER A 1/4" THICK. THIS IS A GREAT WAY TO BEAT THE POST OFFICE AND IT'S "INSANE" SYSTEM OF WEIGHTS AND MEASURES.

I use these envelopes to store my monthly paperwork for my gas station/convenience store business. The clasps really help keep everything in place and they ar big enough that all my paperwork that I keep stored are easy to get to if I need to look back and retrieve anything. All 12 envelopes fit in a heavy duty box that I keep stored in a records room at my business. Each envelope is clearly marked with the right month and since the emvelopes are a solid color it makes it very easy to pick the right month.

I mostly buy Staples brand because they are always less expensive and usually very good quality. I was somewhat let down with this envelope. The color is pale and they just don't seem very "extra heavy". They may be heavyweight but they are not extra heavyweight. They work just the same as the more expensive ones but it just wasn't as good as the normal Staples brand items.
