We recommend wiping the rubber around the seal of the release valve inside and out and the surrounding lid and the containers rim before sealing to ensure the sealing area is dry and clean before trying to seal. Size matter but good quality

This container hold vacuum seal longer than fresh vacuum container. But...Small is too small, large is too bulky and heavy. Medium is most useful for me.

Great with Vaccum, but inconvenient without it.

I love the fact that it's a glass container, and can withstand a variety of heats, including the microwave. I don't have to worry about plastic degrading over time, because the glass will forever remain easy to clean.
The lids, though easy to use with the vaccum, are frusterating without one despite the description saying they still maintain a seal. Yes, they do seal, however the lid is held on by gravity and nothing more.

I keep certain sliced veggies in these (carrots, sweet peppers, sugar snap peas). In week 2 after WAY over-preparing hosting an NCAA tournament party, my peppers still snapped! So I ate them! Highly recommend this.
