I had a similar coffee maker for many years. One morning I turned the coffee maker on and it did not heat up. I looked at many options and actually purchased a dual type maker. It made a single or a carafe of coffee. It was awful. I took it back and ordered the Brew Central. It is great. It makes my "12 ounces" of morning coffee or if I have guests I can brew 12 cups. The only non positive is putting in the amount of water I would like. I find it hard to see how much I have. I always measure my 14 ounces of water to get the full "12 ounces" so my checking the water level is not a big problem. The coffee maker looks nice and does not take up a large amount of space. The coffee is nice and hot which I really like.

We have been Mr. Coffee users for years. When ours died we purchased another. Within a month it became the noisiest and most annoying coffee maker ever. From the moment it started to perk it gurgled and spit and this went on for the entire brew cycle. We finally tossed it out and purchased our Cuisinart Brew Central. It is packed with features and yet simple to operate. It is quiet and most importantly brews great tasting coffee.

Really like the coffee maker although it is a little hard for me to get the top off the coffee pot the little ears are really short but that’s just a little thing I’ve gotten used to it love the coffee maker
