I had one of these Coffeemaker’s for 12 years before it finally quit. I thought I’d buy another one seeing as I had good luck before. The new one looks nice but it’s cheaply made in comparison to the old one. Cuisinart has cut a few corners by down gauging the chassis material. It’s does make good coffee but the grounds splatter all over the cover during the brewing process and it’s a messy clean up. Brewing sounds violent (boiling water) in comparison to my old coffeemaker. Not expecting it to last very long. Disappointing.

This replaces my Cuisinart Extreme Brew model that was 9 years old and rusted out and leaking underneath. I'm not sure why there is a toggle switch for on/off, instead of the button that my earlier model had. Maybe it's trying to be retro, but it seems kind of cheesy. It's also a little tricky to get the carafe lid to snap on, but it generally works if you do it from front to back rather than the other way around. I generally use the 1-4 cup setting, which makes a reliably tasty cup of coffee.

We have a lot of Cuisinart cookware in our home. They just make good stuff. This is one of the most dependable coffee makers that we have owned. We've owned two in the last several years. It consistently brews an excellent cup of coffee, day after day. The current coffee maker is a replacement, sent to us new, after our coffee maker was determined to be faulty (within the warranty period). Which is to say that not only does Cuisinart produce great coffee makers, but they also honor their warranty with minimal fuss or muss.

Very disappointed- the coffee did not brew good, was like tea. Used the same coffee & quantity. Maybe not hot enough water or system bad. Have had before & they worked great.

We were so happy with this coffeemaker that when it finally failed by leaking during brewing after 10 years of daily (sometimes more than once a day), we bought the exact same model. So glad to have new (old) morning friend back!

What a great coffee maker! My daughter has one, so I purchased mine after the Keurig machine I ordered died completely after one week. It is very stylish and attractive, easy to use, and makes great coffee! For the first time, i am using the programmable feature. Getting out of bed is much easier when I know my coffee is already made!

This one is okay but it cannot compare to the 14 cup model. The time window is almost impossible to read, the coffee is OK, but not as good as the 14 cup, the digital is much better. However, you say that I'm rather disappointed in cusinart products. I have always been a big fan of Cusin art, I've had some bad experiences recently. My first 14 cup just stopped working and since it was under warranty replaced it. The second 14 cup Smoke coming out of it one morning. So I just unplugged it and threw It away. Then I bought a 5 cup model would label which makes 2 cups actually. Perhaps 2 1/2 Very disappointed.
