The carafe tucks into the unit better than the other units you make. Also the carafe pours better. The bought this maker because of the side of the unit has S.S. top to bottom and it has more of a retro look to it, with the knobs and toggle switch. The oval shape of the clock also promotes this retro feel. An analog clock would complete it.

Excellent quality that lasts! Our 1st Cuisinart coffee maker is still going strong after 8 years. I purchased this 2nd one so we had the same style down the road. I believe Cuisinart is changing the style to a newer updated look.

When my 12+ year old Brew Central started leaking water I was greatly relieved that I could still buy the identical product. I have another one just like it at a second home. It perfectly serves my purposes and I like that the controls are mechanical, not electronic (I hope that's the right description.).
