I received this coffee maker as a Christmas gift. This will be my second. My first was a good unit but the on/off switch failed after about five years of service. I looked forward to using the new maker and enjoying the coffee but I noticed on the new unit there was a small puddle of water left after brewing located at the base and in front of the unit. I dismissed it as my carelessness while pouring the water into it at the beginning. I paid closer attention the next time I brewed a pot to insure I had not spilled any water, but it did the same thing by leaving a small amount of water at the base and in front of the unit. The amount of water is small but still requires me to wipe it up. I really like this coffee maker but will need to return it.

The maker itself is great; however, I barely touched my granite countertop with the carafe and it cracked after only 2 weeks. To make matters worse, the only way to get a replacement was to order one online and wait days for it to arrive. I previously had a Cuisinart coffee maker with a stainless steel carafe to avoid this, but the coffee was never hot enough and had to be reheated in the microwave.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The coffee pot works great, my only complaint is removing the coffee grinds. When you lift the lid the moisture runs down the back of the coffee maker and then the coffee maker has water around the base. A poor design.

This is a very good brewer but for the high price it has some obvious flaws. It’s difficult to fill with water - there is no fill window. One constantly has to look up and over into the unit. After brewing, when opened, the lid drips water down the back. All else works very well.

This is my third cuisinart coffee maker. I love the taste of my coffee from this brand machine. The two things that could use improvement are the control knobs and all the markings. The display and words could be larger and darker. Also, the coffee could be hotter.

Cuisinarts are great coffee makers but I gave it a 3 stars because I could not see the time on the clock- not LCD, and no water level indicator on the side of coffee maker. The water level indicator is inside the reservoir and it is difficult to see. I exchanged it for a 3200 which is perfect!
