I bought the Cuisinart Brew Central last month and we really like it. It's programmed to brew coffee just before we get up in the morning and keep the coffee hot for four hours.
There are two issues with this coffee maker, both of which were noted in prior reviews I read. Condensation accumulates on the inside of the brew chamber lid. When you raise the lid to toss the filter of used ground coffee, the condensation drips down the back of the unit and soaks the countertop. We've started propping the lid open very slightly to allow the condensation to dry before lifting the lid all the way.
A second issue is fairly minor. The lid of the glass carafe sort of snaps into place on the handle and the carafe - and requires just a bit of jiggling to get it seated correctly. I wish Cuisinart would address that issue in future carafes.
Overall this is a decent coffee maker. Just be aware that the two issues mentioned above do exist and will take some getting used to.

I bought this a few weeks ago and absolutely love it. The toggle switch and knobs are enjoyable compared to pushing buttons everyday. The carafe pours really nice with no spill and the filter makes a smooth cup of coffee! We love this in our home.

I’m short- with the modern counter tops raised, I can’t see how much water to fill it up! This is annoying! Short people- stay away!!!! Buy if you are at least 5’6 inches tall! It does a great job otherwise!

Love that this coffee pot has a timer feature I set it at night and my coffee is reasy when I get up for work. Has a changable water filter is easy to clean and my coffee is fresh brewed and great tasting.

In general I like this coffee maker. It is replacing an older Cuisinart and it is faster and quieter. The clock and timer need to be a bit larger or at least brighter. The readout is hard to see without bending over and getting close. It needs contrast.

The coffee pot makes good-tasting coffee. The drawback is it has no visible water reservoir on the outside. One has to shine a flashlight into the reservoir to fill if you are only making a few cups. We often make a few more cups after the first pot, and the carafe is still hot so we cannot use it to pour cold water into the reservoir. This is a big drawback, and the company, when contacted, was not willing to compensate in any way.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
