It makes good coffee. The first coffee maker failed in less than a year. That coffeemaker plastic lid was hard to seat in the correct position. When the coffeemaker stopped working, I contacted Cuisinart. Based on the model number it was clearly still under warranty. Customer service had me jump through some hoops and agreed to replace it. I have the replacement and it is working. The coffee is good.

My husband is the coffee maker, so it’s been a little slow with the feedback. I get coffee in bed daily, so what I’ve noticed is the coffee is hotter than our previous coffeemaker and it stays hot longer. The bold is too strong for me, but he loves it. We both love that it has an automatic shut off. He especially like the cleaning feature the fast brew time and that he can get a cup before the pot finish. We still use paper filters with the gold filter to reduce the sediment.

Do not like the small basket that’s holds the filter and coffee. It’s too small handle is hard to grab and have had guest thrown it in the garbage can because it’s hard to see there are two pieces. My old coffee pot is not like that.
