When brewing 14 cups (with 16 tablespoons of grounds), the grounds overflow the filter. I cut up a paper filter into 1 1/2' strips and place one between the filter and the overflow slot (1' wide slot) to prevent grounds escaping. Otherwise, an excellent coffeemaker. Will buy again.

This is an excellent coffee maker, the best I’ve ever had, with a high water temperature and easy to operate controls for brewing with precision. But, only 4 Stars due to two minor problems: 1) the filter holder can be difficult to seat properly, and, if not seated properly, coffee will overflow from the top instead of passing into the carafe; 2) the carafe lid design allows coffee to spill out the side of the lip if poured quickly.

Got the copper coffee maker, nice color. Though the filling process isnt as easy or splash proof as my last machine, everything works well. From the flavor to the speed of the brew to the prest brewing, so far everything works well. Including the permanent filter is a plus as it negates any delays in use.

Love this coffee maker! (Bought it to replace an older model after carafe was broken.) Lit dial display is easy to read and program. The window on the side for adding water is a great feature, as my older coffee maker lacked this. Makes a great pot of coffee and you can easily program your burner plate for how long you want to keep it on. Pot consistently brews a good cup of coffee, whether you are making a small or full pot.
