We usually do pour-overs or Aeropress coffee. It took too long for larger groups of friends and family, so we got a coffee pot. We have had it for a few weeks now and just love it! It make very tasty and hot coffee. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

It makes annoying clicking noises all the time it is on. Expected some noise while brewing, but not just because it is on. This purchase was made to replace a much older model. It did not do this. Also was able to turn on the lower hot plate as needed with the old one. New model does not have this feature. It must run through an entire brew cycle for the lower hot plate to heat. The older model was better.
