It's not quite what we thought it would be. Ultimately, all the extras are nice, but the coffee just doesn't taste good, so, we don't know how to rate this item. Perhaps we got used to our old Mr. Coffee and thought a more expensive unit would be better. Not very satisfied with this item. It's like the coffee is too strong or bitter tasting than the old coffee maker. We boxed this one up and returned to the old Mr. Cofffee.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have used a cone coffeemaker for many years. I got a new one and won't look back at the other brand. This one makes my wife (she doesn't drink coffee) smile.
