Water spills all over the counter. Coffee basket moves out of position and won't drain into pot (also all over counter). Hot plates doesn't stay on long enough. Etc, etc, etc.

Good coffee maker. Missing some features that the cheaper Mr. Coffee has, like measurement of water in the coffee maker as one example. Cuisinart puts the measurement on the side of the maker and it is not easy to read. Mr. Coffee puts their measurement on the front of the maker.
As an other example, on the top of the coffee maker, the only way you can access the pot to fill with water, is to completely remove the top of the pot. With the Mr. Coffee, the top of the pot is hinged and swings up and down to access the pot to fill with water. The top can also be completely removed as well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Makes flavorful coffee and keeps it at the right temperature. . We've been using the coffee maker for about 2 months. The instructions are easy to follow. The coffee maker is easy to set up and program the auto-on feature. We don't use the included wire filter (paper instead); per the directions, fine ground coffee will pass through the wire filter (as we experienced). I read about this coffee maker in Consumer Reports and would recommend this product to friends.

Easy to use and keeps coffee hot for at least 2-3 hours. Wish instruction would specifically proper/best filters to use. The “bun” type of filters just are not quite right for this coffee maker.

I found fitting the lid on the carafe can be tricky. Like the option for 1-4 cups. I didn’t get the filter basket down good and almost had a mess. Thank goodness I was only brewing 3 cups.

This model coffee maker has corrected the missing utility and functionality present in the previous model. The water level in the reservoir can be checked via a translucent window in the side. And the clock is now backlit for easier reading and programming.
