Overall great coffee maker, but I upgraded from a 12-cup maker and the basket that comes with this maker doesn't seem to hold as much coffee grounds. It spills over into the coffee pot.

Very nice coffee maker. Love the 3 level heat plate. On slow days, put it on low and no burnt taste. Normal days, medium keeps it good and hot. Up to 4 hr timer is nice too. And 14 cups. Woo Hoo. I can fill my big thermal cup, go fishin' come home to pee, refill, and head back out. Like the cone filter too. Wish the snap on lid was hinged tho. Very minor annoyance. Pours well.

This is the second one we have tried. Cuisinart was good enough to send us a new one when our first one (purchased less than a year ago) died on us. We made our first pot of coffee this morning and had the same problem as before. Water doesn't drain from the basket, backs up in the basket and causes coffee grinds to spill out and over into the water tank. We have always loved Cuisinart products so this is very frustrating.

Makes good coffee but... this is the second unit we've had over a ten year period or so that began to leak out the bottom of the water container. At first we thought it was just the water from the lid top dripping down to the counter but as we accounted for this, we realized there was a leak. It is still under warranty but it's such a hassle to have to go through the process.
