We used the 10 cup brew station for (just shy of) ten years before it stopped performing, although it was warranty replaced after 4 years. Longevity and customer service were the top two reasons we decided to buy another Cuisinart appliance. The only issue we had with the brew station was the awkward full- you pretty much needed a step stool and a flashlight to accurately fill the reservoir. With this 14 cup appliance, they added a window onto the side of the machine which makes filling it so much easier. After about a month, my family is pleased with our investment.

Love the coffee maker, it makes way better coffee than my old Kitchenaid. However almost every morning I get a red light that comes on indicating that it needs to be cleaned. I've run the recommended vinegar solution through multiple times, the light clears, then the next morning it's back on (baffling). I'm guessing I got a defective unit and am hoping that Cuisinart will be willing to help me get a replacement since I have only had it 2 months.

This coffeemaker is mostly easy to use and produces consistent quality brewed coffee. While pouring water into the tank is not easy, it is not hard to do once you get use to it. The alarm signaling that the heat to the pot is turning off is a fairly soft chirp, so can be easily missed. I did not hear it for three days, but on the fourth day I was in the same room and the house was quiet. I would highly recommend this coffeemaker otherwise.

Our old cuisinart quit about a year ago. Bought another brand and trashed it after a year because although it looked similar to a cuisinart is wasn’t and couldn’t compare in reliability. Love the two extra cups and all the features.
