My thoughts... for it's price point, the coffeemaker is excellent! Not too many features, yet enough bells and whistles to do what you desire/need. I double filter mine, the gold tone permanent filter and a paper filter. The coffee comes out strong but not bitter. The fact that it is a 14 cup allows for coffee for all to complete a gathering. The temperature adjustable heating pad is fantastic, as well the timer for the same. All in all, if you are a an every day coffee drinker and/or dinner party person, this is the coffee maker for you!

This is my third coffee maker of this model. I use them for a few years and then replace them. They make excellent coffee and are very durable and reliable.
The only thing that wore was the plating on the hot plate.
The only issue is if you want to make very strong coffee and use a lot of grounds, it will overflow the basket and get grounds in the coffee.
I like mildly strong brew so that isn't a problem for me.

It brews a great cup of coffee for starters! Of course, that's what it is supposed to do; but the options to brew different strengths and control the temperature of the carafe as it waits patiently for me to pour my 3rd and 4th cup really sets this appliance apart!
