I returned on unit because the coffee did not come out hot. I had to put each cup I made into the microwave. I thought the unit was defective. Unfortunately, the second unit is the same: luke-warm coffee. The good news... I was given the second unit with out question. Customer service is very good.

When the time came to replace my old coffeemaker, I relied on a consumer magazine's top rating of this coffeemaker, and I'm in full agreement with that rating. I especially like the easy user-friendly programability of options for brew strength, 1-4 cups, cycle completion beep, and warming plate temperature. I have tailored all to the ideal settings for my morning cup, and as a nice unexpected bonus, it uses slightly less coffee than my old coffeemaker to achieve these great results.

Bought to replace an older model Cuisinart. Easy to program. Use of replaceable filter makes foul tasting coffee. Removed filter and use filter or bottle water. Very loud brewing operation with lots of loud popping sounds.

Makes good coffee, takes up same space as my old 12 cup Cuisinart. nice design and easy to use and program. I like the fact that this machine has a mute button for the tone when coffee is brewed.

I purchased this one to replace my previous Cuisinart 14 cup programmable model which died after about 4 years. I don't really use the programming because I am retired and don't wake up at a set time any longer. I will say that the biggest difference I have noticed between the older model and the new one is the fact that you can't set the time on the new model for how long the carafe stays hot. This one only stays hot for 2 hours and I prefer 4 hours.

It makes coffee... but not well. This is my second DCC-3200 by Cuisinart, and they both had two fairly big problems. 1) the coffee was NOT hot. It came out luke-warm and I had to heat the coffee in the microwave. 2) the filter assembly leaked when I pulled out the carafe to pour. Not a lot, but enough that I had to wipe it down each time. And who doesn't love the smell of burnt coffee?!?!
Customer service, though was wonderful. They exchanged both units with no complaint. Now I have a wonderful CHW-12 which works perfectly!
