I have had this coffee maker for about a month . It is very easy to brew a full pot or four or less cups. I had one similar to this model so I was already familiar with the general features. It has both a coffee filter ( non paper ) and paper filters which means you do not have to worry about being out of filters. The unit has variable caraf temps brew strengths for your choice. Very nice coffee maker.

We replaced a Cuisinart with a new Cuisinart. It makes a good cup of coffee but three problems. It takes almost exactly 15 minutes to brew. Waaay too long. After it's done brewing, it sits there making all kinds of weird noises. Lastly the carafe is horrible for pouring. It gets water everywhere when you're filling it no matter what speed you pour. All in all its 3/10
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Overall great unit but one problem is the pour spout. When pot is full (14 cup) you have to pour very slow until it gets down to 8-10 cup line or it will spill down the side of the pot.

Normally I'm one who grinds my beans right before brewing in a Clever Dripper to make the ultimate cup of coffee. However, I purchased this coffee maker for the purpose of serving a group of people. I am absolutely impressed! It brews an excellent cup of coffee! This coffee maker offers hotter water for the brewing process and includes a bold setting which makes for a rich, non-bitter pot of coffee! This is a quality coffee maker that I highly recommend!
