I've had this brand of coffee maker for over 20 years. I was recently ready for a new coffee maker and thought that I would try a different brand. What a mistake! Made horrible coffee, did not stay hot and the carafe dripped every time you poured. I ended up returning it and went back to Cuisinart. I've learned my lesson. I will never try another brand again!

Bought this about a month ago and so far so good. It does make a really good cup of coffee. I like the "shower head" that gets a lot of flavor from the grounds. I like my coffee strong so the Bold feature is nice as well. Also handy is the ability to lower the temp on the hot plate so coffee doesn't burn. This was an important feature as I drink coffee all day. I usually opt for a thermal carafe ,but my husband likes glass so this was a nice compromise. Disappointed though that there is not a thermal carafe available to order to have in addition to the glass.
