Cleaning the coffee pot itself is easy, came with gold mesh basket which I use with a paper cone filter. The appearance is attractive on the counter, matches the stainless kitchen we already have. Does not overpower the counter, more upright then out. I like where I can set the heat element to be hotter if I need, so far we have just used the M setting. I am not forgetting the most important THE BREWED COFFEE TASTE IS GREAT.... WE REALLY ENJOY ~ SO WILL YOU!

I bought this as a replacement for another Cuisinart which I had for 6-7 years. it looks great and is a nice upgrade with an illuminated clock. Adjustable coffee temp and ability to brew small amounts (1-4 cups) without losing coffee strength makes it just about perfect.
